Origin of The Church

When did the Church begin and by whose authority was it built? Whose authority controls it? All need to leam well the answers to these important questions.

Nature of The Church

Many descriptive phrases are applied to the Church in New Testament scriptures. These phrases give emphasis to various features of the Church and set forth its nature.

Church Membership

By staying outside of the Church we rob oirselves of 1ife‘s greatest blessings and of the hope of eternal life. The Church is incomparably greater than all human institutions, sectarian or fraternal.

Mission of The Church

The primary mission of the Church is to "evangelize" the world. The word "evangelism" comes from a Greek word meaning "good news"; the “evangelist," therefore, is a proclaimer of good news.

Church Government

Organization and Structure of the New Testament Church.  Each congregation of the Lord's Church should have a plurality of Elders and Deacons to oversee and carry out the Lord's Work.

Unity of the Church

Unity is important because it was demanded by the Lord.  It is the only plan or platform that meets God's approval.  Denominationalism or Division does not meet God's approval.

Identity of The Church

Built by a divine pattern which must not be corrupted, it is not human in any of its characteristics, but stands out from the world and all human organizations in Name, Worship, Doctrine, Work, and Organization.

Worship of the Church

In its worship as in all other matters the church must be governed by divine authority. We must worship according to truth if we would worship acceptably.
